What will it be?

 It will be Civil War.

Not because we love Donald Trump, but because the Socialists have wiped their collective ass with our Constitution and the Rule of Law. 

Included in the term "Socialist" is all Democrats that have voted for this nonsense over and over, for whatever lofty reasons they might conjure. The end-result of their good intentions is SOCIALIST DICTATORSHIP. That is what you have sown, and so you shall reap the violence of the wars that will follow, because we SURELY will not accept what you are trying to force down our throats. Nor will our children.

Our Constitution, the deal our ancestors made when we INVENTED this Republic, established the Rule of Law. That means that we can make rules that EVERYONE can follow, and be punished for violating.  And a process for deciding if a rule was violated. The Law rules, not people, anointed ones, politicians, or even presidents. Democrat appointed Judges have IGNORED 237 years of precedent, and are applying purposefully mis-interpreted laws arbitrarily. THAT is the end of the Republic, period. And the very definition of a Banana Republic. The other day, Judge Merchan basically told the jury that they don't even really need to believe Trump committed a crime to find him GUILTY... of committing a crime. If that is allowed to stand, NO ONE IS SAFE in this country. He will have just demolished the last cornerstone of Justice. Which is a declaration of war because he knows we will not stand for it.

It will be Civil War because we will not swallow the vituperative gender-fluid GARBAGE you are pushing on us. It will be because you have ruined our financial system with Keynesian corruption where our children are born into SLAVERY, owing currently $103,000 EACH and rising daily, just for taking their first breath, and all so politicians don't have to ask us for money to fund their socialist schemes. It will be because you have LIED to us, consistently, for 100 years now. You lied about your aims because we would NEVER submit to your encroachments otherwise. Neither would most of your supporters, if they knew the truth. You want CONTROL and to be free from Natures consequences. Just admit it. Control over the economy without the natural abhorrence and refusal of enlightened individuals to participate. Control of our collective health so you can add or subtract from our numbers according to how many people you think should be breathing at any given time without worrying about the consequences when we, the peons, don't agree. Control of what is deemed Fact or Fiction, so you never have to defend yourselves against Natures' Logic and Reason. 

You are FOOLS to think that, if you ever get what you want, true Democracy, it will be anything but an ephemeral step on the path towards a Socialist Dictatorship, Communism. It always has, and it always will, because it is simply Human Nature run amok. As a simple proof I submit to you the DEMOCRATS subverting Democracy over and over again by cheating in elections, including their OWN PRIMARIES (Bernie Sanders). Very un-Democratic of those Democrats, don't you think? They don't really want, or care about, Democracy, they want CONTROL. Every Socialist does. It is what DEFINES them. They want you to CHOOSE to obey them, or else.

Moral and Religious?

Our Nation is arguably no longer made up of a "moral and religious people." To them, and many of us as well, Religion has been watered down into a meaningless muck, and Morality has been rendered subjective and un-fashionable. 

Question: Why are we acting as if our constitution is still adequate to govern us as a whole? It is not. It is a CHARADE at this point. Don't get me wrong... it is timeless and profound, and its' Truths are endure. Some day, after a great divide and purge, it may be adequate again. Right now, for us to act like it is still valid when they use it against us and we can't even agree on what it means, is like us fighting with both hands tied behind our backs. Why do we do this? Civility, I guess, and concern and love for our fellow man, that we may appeal to their Reason and Logic, and win them over to our side. I no longer feel this way. I feel that the enemy of civilization and brotherhood only listens to, and respects, POWER and overwhelming FORCE, like the savages they are. Which explains the 'Rise of the Strong Man' phenomena, like Donald Trump.

So, yeah... declare Martial Law and see what happens when the people realize that you just suspended the very document that created the government and your offices and titles. And let the Tree of Liberty be watered.

Man... WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON here? Nobody really knows, and that is by design. But in my opinion, the very root of the problem, and the reason nothing ever seems to get DONE about ANYTHING is this: The entire Law Enforcement apparatus in this country is CORRUPT. Hear me out...

Lets say a local thug gets busted driving across state lines with drugs. The FBI gets involved, paperwork gets filed, he does a month in the county jail and is back on the streets. What happened? The local FBI dude now has a foot-soldier to do his bidding next time some nefarious deeds need to get done. The local cops are left empty-handed. The People, who created the cops, FBI, and the whole damn government for the very purpose of enforcing the Law, which indirectly keeps us safe, is now LESS SAFE because of it.

Now, lets say a local politician gets busted in a prostitution sting, and is sitting in some room with local cops wondering what to do. Some black suited G-man walks in, takes over the investigation, and next thing you know, he is back on TV dedicating a new homeless shelter. What happened? The Government now has a foot-soldier who can keep his job, his family, and his reputation as long as he votes how he is told from now on. He will say all the right things to keep his constituents placated, but will DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to stop their steady slide into slavery. The local cops are left empty-handed. The People, who created the cops, FBI, and the whole damn government for the very purpose of enforcing the Law, is not represented and is now LESS SAFE because of it.

Now, lets say, some asshole billionaire gets busted, finally, for trafficking underage girls for the purpose of having sex with him and his rich buddies. He has records of all of these scumbags doing horrible things with some VERY affluent and POWERFUL people, pictures, and videos. All of that is SIEZED by the FBI, y'know, for the victims privacy, and promptly DISAPPEARS, and the scumbag commits "suicide." All the government can say is, "Oh, bummer! Well, at least that is over!" But what about all the other scumbags? The FBI now has all these people under their thumb, to do it's bidding whenever it needs bidding done. They are all left anonymous, to continue being scumbags, under the radar, The local cops are left empty-handed, and the People, who created the cops, FBI, and the whole damn government for the very purpose of enforcing the Law, is not represented and is now LESS SAFE because of it.

This is the essence of corruption. We created the government for very specific purposes. But now, the FBI, CIA, State cops, and local cops are now all competing to compile their own "black books" full of assholes that they SHOULD have busted and removed from being able to further damage our society, but the let them go, and actually PROTECT them against scrutiny, for the sole purpose of CONTROLLING them. 

How can anything get done once this corruption takes hold? And it surely has! It began the VERY MINUTE the FBI was created! Local cops have always done it, albeit on a very small scale. And the FBI didn't invent it. It is ancient, I'm sure. But in EVERY CASE it is dangerous, and detrimental to the health of society.

Now, imagine the DEA, FBI, BATFE, CIA, USPS, USDA, and USFS all trying to take charge of the same investigation, maybe because a foreign diplomat was smuggling drugs inside of Cocobolo cigar boxes and storing them in a bunker on public land. They all want the bust so they can control him, and now we have alphabet agencies spending all their resources trying to protect themselves against other agencies instead of enforcing the Laws which keep us safe. It is a runaway, positive-feedback loop that only ends when it spins itself to pieces in a spectacular explosion, also called MARTIAL LAW and CIVIL WAR. 

I don't know if it can be prevented. I'm pretty sure it CAN'T! The corruption is not even being hidden anymore. Look at the Biden Crime Syndicate. Look at Bill Gates. The Clintons. The richest man in the world is even talking about it openly. Surely much of Pizzagate is bullshit, but how much of it is not? They don't even have to hide anymore! And the devil HATES having to hide. He wants to tell you exactly what he wants to do, while he does it. It makes his crimes all the more delectable to him. 

We COULD vote our way out of this... but will we? I don't think so. Even here in Idaho we still elect soft Republicans who are controlled by corporate donors and DO NOTHING for us. We are so enamored with being "Permissive" and "Inclusive" that we have permitted insanity and included delusion. How can we expect anything other than what is happening in the big cities to be the new normal? 

I really believe that the answer lies in the "public purse." Or rather, that there EXISTS a public purse, from which largesse may be drawn and spent on the whims of politicians, who no longer even need to ask us to keep it filled. But sending representatives to do something about it hasn't helped. Ron Paul tried for DECADES, but he fought alone, and was ignored. And anyone else was either caught with a prostitute, or died in a plane crash/brake failure/"suicide."

I don't know what to do except PREPARE. And get out of the cities. I would say it would be better to die early in the fight. Thems that dies are the lucky ones, right? But I have children, and grandchildren. And so, I prepare and hope that the fight comes in my time so that they may find peace, and re-build, in theirs. 

Something ELSE to Ponder

 So, Facebook is deleting comments they don't agree with. I commented on my last post and it disappeared. It was a comment on this post on Survivalblog. So I wrote it again, and elaborated a bit, and posted it to my Blog for protection. Let's see what happens...

Something to ponder: The Communists think you are SHEEP, and there is too many of you. Everything you see in the news is an attempt to corral you up so you can be controlled. Once you are in the pen, the lies they told to get you in there don't matter anymore. The only difference between Socialism, Fascism, Progressivism, Fabian Socialism, Liberalism, etc. is HOW TO GET YOU IN THE PEN. After that there is only Communism. And any 'rights' you have are decided by the shepherd. 

In Individualist Capitalism your Rights are Inalienable and the goal is to make sure no one is ever able to put anyone in a pen. "Society" is a mental construct and only exists for the benefit of the Individual. The very INSTANT even one individual is harmed, society ceases to exist and all that is left is either Anarchy or Despotism. That is supposed to be the function of the Civil Court System: To repair Society.

Half of this country is just fine with being in a pen, as long as they can force you into it too, usually by appealing to some lie they believed.  Climate change, Pandemics, Inequality, Immigration, Animal Rights, BLM/Antifa, Globalism, endless wars, IMF, aliens, etc are all part of the lies they tell to get us in the pen, and everything is on the table if they can exploit it in their favor. Remember who said "Never let a crisis go to waste?" 

Our forefathers set up this Constitution so that it would STAND in the face of entropy because Truth is ETERNAL. Communists HATE anything that STANDS and doesn't bend to the will of the majority, including Truth. And that is why they must tear this Nation down.

I believe we are at the point where their lies are falling apart and they are about to be exposed before the gates can be closed on us. This is why there seems to be a 'quickening,' a desperate push and abandonment of pretense. THIS is the point where we will win, or lose, this fight. Any soft Republicans must be sent packing. Anyone who doesn't have their right hand cocked and their head on a swivel is headed into the pen. And watch out, because many of us might just be fine with allowing them to close the gates on all of you who wandered aimlessly into the pen. But don't worry, we'll get you out. It might take a few generations, though.

 We've been saying "Get woke, go broke" for YEARS. Why are we proven right every time? Because we recognize Wokism, BLM, environmentalism, LGBTQ-ism, and liberalism in general as just logical conclusions of MARXISM. And Marxism NEVER sleeps. That's why, if you go woke, like Target, it won't help you. You will piss off your PAYING customer base to appease a very small number of people that will NEVER think you are woke enough until you just walk away from your corporate offices and hand them the keys. And if you realize what is happening before that point and try to undo the damage, the Marxists will be enraged and we will still shun you. How about this: Sell us the shit we need and SHUT THE FUCK UP. You corporations, bureaucrats, and governmental leaders are not like the conductor in front of the cultural orchestra. Culture develops NATURALLY as people learn how to best live together in peace. And if our cultural habits and ideas are HEALTHY, we will thrive. It is obvious that WESTERN CULTURE, a result of 10,000 years of European cultural experimentation, has culminated in the most healthy, stable, and THRIVING civilization on the planet, ever. It is not perfect, but it is NATURAL, and is built upon a deeper understanding of Human Nature. And for someone to think that they can get up on a pedestal above us and orchestrate us according to some idea they just had last week is offensive and FUTILE! This is what Marxism is trying to do: systematically dismantle and flush our culture down the drain because a few people get left by the wayside. It will fail because WE CANNOT SWALLOW IT. We are not ants. It is SLAVERY and it is repugnant to rational beings. Every day of the week. Always.

Do Cops keep us safe?

 I agree with ALL of this, and stand beside the author when he says it is time for a divorce because it may be the only way to avoid bloodshed. But I'd like to talk about lesson number 12. 

It has been settled in court that cops have NO RESPONSIBILITY to risk their lives. Many of them do, on a daily basis, and should be commended for that. But that is NOT THEIR JOB. Their job is to enforce the law. That, indirectly, brings peace and safety. But they do not "protect and serve" or keep us safe... directly. It is a very important distinction. 

Plants and trees sit there all day transpiring water through their leaves which vaporizes and ends up in the upper atmosphere where it is considered a GREENHOUSE GAS!! There is FIVE TIMES more of it than CO2, which everyone is wanting to take us back to the stone age over. It could be said that plants and trees are indirectly CAUSING GLOBAL WARMING, but no one says that. Because that would be absurd, right? 

It is just as absurd to say that cops "protect and serve" or provide safety, especially in light of the FACT that they are not required to protect us. Or even serve us. They only enforce the law. And, if honesty matters to anyone, they do it SELECTIVELY. Mostly because they are given an impossible task of enforcing WAY TOO MANY laws with too few resources... but also because it is to THEIR BENEFIT to have poorly written laws that allow grey areas and wiggle room so they can enforce the shit out of certain laws on certain people, and not so much of other laws on other people. 

I am not saying I am against this. I am, but I have no solutions and it is the natural order of things when we play the game of trying to organize Nature as we see fit. It is untenable and a fallacy to think we can while remaining Free. Cops CANNOT provide us safety without putting us in a pen for our own good. 

It would be healthier for society if we recognized this fact instead of living in a fantasy world where we think we can pay people to keep us safe. We cannot. We must do that for ourselves if we wish to be Free.

Dear Democrats and soft Republicans:

What will you do?

When you find out that masks were never effective at preventing the spread of Covid, and the "Experts" knew and made you and your kids wear them for two years... what will you do? And when you discover that there are PLENTY of experts, scientists, epidemiologists, etc. that say this "vaccine" is no such thing, it is dangerous, has killed 20,000+ Americans and will kill more soon even though the Media and the Government told you it was "safe and effective," what will you do? What will you do when you find out that there are other treatments that are cheap, safe, MORE EFFECTIVE, common, and available but the "experts" prevented you from knowing about them so they could test out this new technology and sell it to us through our insurance companies while keeping them safe from any liability through Emergency Use Authorizations?

What will you do when you realize that you and your kids SUFFERED through lockdowns, face-diaper mandates, fear, uncertainty, vaxx mandates, job loss, businesses closing, deaths of loved ones in isolated hospital wards, sickness, delayed treatment of other maladies, remote learning, loss of savings, foreclosures, all while the government PRINTED enough money to keep itself afloat, and signed our children’s names at the bottom to pay it back?

What about when you see the pictures and videos of politicians and celebrities having private parties with no social distancing or masks, and getting haircuts and eating in fancy restaurants while we are supposed to be locked down? And having their masked servants dress them for the Oscars while they remain maskless? What will you do when you realize that their whole narrative has fallen apart and their lies have been laid bare but they continue to double-down, at your expense, because it would be devastating to them to admit they are wrong?

What about when you find out that there are Nations on this same planet that had a MUCH more moderate, and successful, response to Covid, like Sweden, South Korea, Taiwan, Latvia, and Japan and didn’t suffer and destroy themselves in the process? Or that Ivermectin, what you all called “horse de-wormer” worked MIRACLES in countries like India, Japan, and South Africa?

Will you be mad? Will you wonder if it was all planned? Will you trust anyone in government ever again? Will you still think of yourself as a Democrat? Will you start to wonder if what they told you about the Southern Border Crisis, the Keystone Pipeline, Fracking, Ukraine, January 6^th, BLM, ANTIFA, The FBI, the origin of Covid, Climate Change, Green Energy, Gender dysphoria, Epstein, Trump, Obama, and Clinton was true?

Just remember that there are people out there that knew all of this was phony, and tried to warn you, and were marginalized, persecuted, canceled, shouted-down, and even MURDERED. THEY were right, and the government, media, politicians, and Big-Pharma were WRONG! And so, who will you blame? Who will you vote for?

There are still people capable of running this government without being full of shit all the time. They are the Conservative Republicans. Not the RINOS, but libertarian-minded conservatives. What you all call "right-wingers?" They are called that because they are to the right of the RINOS, so-called conservatives that are soft in the middle, who have sold you into slavery just as surely as the Liberals, just at a slower pace because they don't STAND on their principals and don't realize they are fighting with both hands tied behind their backs. They don't even realize they are in a fight at all.

Never trust:

• ·         Democrats, including Presidents, Representatives, Governors, Mayors, Police Chiefs, even the dog-catcher. Not even Tulsi Gabbard, even though I like her.
• ·         Luke-warm Republicans, RINO’s, or anyone advocating unity, reconciliation, or compromise.
• ·         The NIH and CDC, until they have a house cleaning.
• ·         The World Economic Forum and Klaus Schwab.
• ·         Bill Gates.
• ·         Fauci.
• ·         China.
• ·         Military leaders at the Pentagon Level, maybe even at the Division and Battalion level.
• ·         And ANYONE in the mainstream Media, sadly including Fox News. With Fox, trust, but verify.

Our children deserve better from us. We cannot hand them a world on the edge of annihilation, with no hope. It has been said that we have three ways to solve this: the soap box, the ballot box, and the ammo box. When we use the soap box we get shouted-down and canceled. When we use the Ballot box we get defrauded, dis-enfranchised and outright CHEATED. That leaves the Ammo Box, and we have been VERY patient and reluctant to go that way. No-one wants that. But we are ever-vigilant. And we preserve the spirit of rebellion.

Dark Philosophy and the Light

I am currently re-watching the first season of True Detective... for the third time. Matthew and Woody were AMAZING in this series. Well directed, cast, produced. Best TV ever. 

The writing is what I'd like to talk about, though. Especially this conversation, from a scene about 15 minutes into the first episode, where they are driving through rural Louisiana. Mobile homes, junk everywhere, everything's run-down and cheap. They had just visited the scene of a horrific crime, and they both had a sense of foreboding, as if they knew this case was going to test them, and take from them more than they would be willing to give. 

Rust (Matthew McConaughey): People out here... it's like they don't even know the world outside exists. Might as well be living on the fucking moon.

Marty (Woody Harrelson): There's all kinds of ghettos in the world.

Rust: It's all one ghetto, man. A giant gutter in outer space.

Marty:  Today, that scene, that is the most fucked up thing I ever caught. Can I ask you something? You're a Christian, yeah?

Rust: No.

Marty: Well, then what do you got the cross for, in your apartment?

Rust: That's a form of meditation.

Marty: How's that?

Rust: I contemplate the moment in the garden, the idea of allowing your own crucifixion.

Marty: But you're not a Christian... so what do you believe?

Rust: I believe that people shouldn't talk about this type of shit at work.

Marty: Hold on, hold on... 3 months we been together, I get nothing from you. Today, with what we're into now, do me a courtesy, ok? I'm not trying to convert you. 

Rust: Look, I consider myself a Realist, all right? But in philosophical terms, I'm what's called a Pessimist. 

Marty: Ummm, ok? What's that mean?

Rust: It means I'm bad at parties.

Marty: Let me tell you, you ain't great outside of parties either!

Rust (hesitatingly): I think human consciousness was a tragic mis-step in evolution. We became too self-aware. Nature created an aspect of Nature separate from itself. We are creatures that should not exist by Natural Law.

Marty: Huh? That sounds god-fucking awful, Rust.

Rust:  We are things that labor under the illusion of having a self... this accretion of sensory experience and feeling, programmed with total assurance that we are each somebody when in fact, everybody's nobody. 

Marty: I wouldn't go around spouting that shit, if I was you. People around here don't think that way. I don't think that way.

Rust: I think the honorable thing for our species to do is deny our programming, stop re-producing, walk hand-in-hand into extinction, one last midnight, brothers and sisters opting out of a raw deal. 

Marty: So, what's the point of getting out of bed in the morning?

Rust: I tell myself I bear witness, but the real answer is that it's obviously my programming, and I lack the constitution for suicide.   

Marty: My luck, I picked today to get to know you. For three months I don't hear a word from you, and..

Rust: You asked.

Marty: ...Yeah. And now I'm BEGGING you to shut the fuck up!

Driving in silence for a moment... then:

Rust: I get a bad taste in my mouth out here. Aluminum. Ash. Like you can smell the psychosphere.

Marty: I got an idea: Let's make the car a place of silent reflection from now on, okay?

Rust silently acquiesces.

And so, the series goes on, with all the unspeakable horror, deprivation, and corruption they uncover, ending with this beautiful scene almost 20 years later where Marty takes Rust for a walk outside the hospital where he is recovering. And after a brief exchange where Rust re-counts his near-death experience, and possibly an encounter with something that expresses a meaning to life, something greater than individual existence... pure love, a light in the eternal darkness, warmth in the abysmal cold, the season ends with this:

Rust: I'll tell you, Marty, I've been up in that room, looking out those windows every night here. Just thinking... it's just one story. The oldest.

Marty: What's that?

Rust: Light versus dark.

Marty: Well, I know we ain't in Alaska, but it appears to me that the dark has a lot more territory.

Rust: Yeah. You're right about that.

And a few minutes later, after they decide to leave the hospital, Rust says:

Rust: You know, you're looking at it wrong, at the sky.

Marty: How's that?

Rust: Well, once there was only dark. If you ask me, the light's winning.

And Marty just chuckles. 

My whole life I have been operating in sympathy with this philosophy. It is basic Judeo-Christian philosophy. It has been my default assumption. And it still is. But there has always been an undercurrent of what he laid out in the beginning. I have often thought that we shouldn't pro-create. It is the only way to end suffering and poverty. I have often thought that we got a raw deal in being assigned to this time-space continuum, without our approval, in a body that is slowly breaking down, and dying from the day we are born, on a planet that is trying to kill us, and our loved ones, every time we let our guard down. I have often thought it would be smarter to just say "No thanks." Maybe it is better to be wherever we were before we were here? Even though it is entirely unknown, and therefore "dark" to us. 

I'm sure we all vacillate between competing, possibly diametrically opposed thoughts, conclusions, or viewpoints. I go between standard Catholic Christian beliefs and the idea that if there is a god, he is an asshole and should be the subject of a class-action lawsuit with 7 billion people as the plaintiffs. And I entertain a lot of territory in between. It is hard for me, most times, to think that someone is "blessed" because they won a wrestling match when, elsewhere on Gods green Earth, someone else is born with a horrible malady and must live their entire life in pain, emotional as well as physical. It doesn't square with the idea of an all-seeing, all-loving God. Either he doesn't care, or is asleep at the wheel, or an incredible SADIST. And then my daughter sends me a video of her dancing and I suddenly find myself thanking God for his graciousness in sending her to me. I guess never mind the other kid. 

There are people who, in simplicity and humility, just take what they are given because it just makes sense to them. It is not a course of action taken in ignorance or blind subservience to ancestral philosophical hand-me-downs, but really just takes into account the short time we will be here, on this plane of existence, and a conservation and respect for the archetypical lessons we received from our fore-fathers. And Mothers. It is the very basis of Morality, and gives us a plan-of-action that best ensures a happy, productive life for us and our children while we are here. 

The Truth is that we will never know how we got here, how we were made, or when, or where, or even why we are here. The Judeo-Christian game plan is as good as any other, better, even, by our track record. There are millions of people all over the world that don't spend their time thinking about other options. They'd rather spend what little they have of it loving their children, and each other, building and creating, and pursuing their happiness in the here-and-now, with the promise of eternity at the end of the path. And anything that threatens that is anathema, and well ought to be. 

Never mind that Quantum Mechanics and General Relativity have put smartphones in every pocket. It's great, and a miracle of science, but it pales at the sight of the dedication and devotion of a parent in raising their children and seeing the love in their eyes. Never mind that Astrophysicists have given us images and evidence of the vastness of the cosmos and the revelation that our Sun is but one of many, maybe an infinite number, of worlds. Never mind the discoveries of the microscopic world, DNA, and never mind the probability of some form of evolution. That is all beautiful, and wonderous, but it doesn't change anything. We are still here, hungry, naked and afraid, and in pain, with no instruction manual except what our parents have learned before we were even born; what we learn from history. And whether it is a raw deal or not, seeing the love in your childs' eye is the only thing better than sex we have found. There is a reason that one leads to the other. And that is why the wheel keeps turning. And why the light is winning.

TAMALES

Day 1. MEAT

Start with a ceremonial shot of Cazadores. And have a cold Pacifico on hand. Shit's about to get real. In large stew pots, half full of boiling water, distribute 20 lbs of Pork. I cube them up in about 2" cubes. You don't want super long strings of meat. In each pot, add 1/2 onion, 5 lg cloves of garlic (don't be scared, homie!), and maybe a Tablespoon of salt (getting that right is hard. I always think to myself, "If I was gonna eat that meat right now, how much salt would I have to put on it?" Some extrapolation may be in order. Pork needs a LOT OF SALT (note: I used a TBSP in each of the three pots that I was making. After it was cooked, I tasted it and it wasn't enough, so I added another two TBSP into the red chili sauce). And Pepper. A lot. And a whole bag of Crushed Red Pepper. Unless there will be kids involved. Then a half bag. Also, for extra flavor depth, maybe a small can of El Pato in each pot. Then top off with water until all meat is submerged. Boil and simmer for like FOUR HOURS. Until it falls apart when you stir. 

While the meat is boiling, make Red Chile Sauce

 If you are sensitive, like my wife who is Asian, leave the room during this whole step. And open windows and turn on the fan. Wash New Mexico Chiles. Do it by hand, under running water as hot as you can stand. Cut the top off, stick your finger in it (stop it...), split them down the side with a finger and rub the dirty juice from inside till they're clean and less slimy. Get rid of stem area and seeds. 

In a frying pan with, say, olive oil, or maybe a non-stick pan with no oil, and using a bean masher to hold them flat, sear each side on med/high heat for only a few seconds. Say 10 seconds each side. There's a term for this... blanching? It releases the "soul" of the pepper and imparts a taste you can't get out of a can, as far as I know. This is the secret, really. A tamale is supposed to have a bit of an "earthen" taste. I was told once that my method is too clean and will taste sterile and I shouldn't clean the peppers so well. Sorry, but here is DIRT in there and I'm gonna clean them! Set aside in a bowl.

In a good blender, put one Lg can Las Palmas Red Chile sauce and about half of the seared chiles and blend the shit out of it. If it seems too thick and won't blend, add a ladle of pork broth from the meat pots. Do it again with the other half of the chiles and can of Red Chile Sauce. Put it in a tupperware (a pitcher is good, you will be pouring a bit out 6 or 7 times) and set aside. 

3 hours later 

Once the meat is done, spoon it out into a turkey tin (hopefully it all fits in one), and let it cool a bit in open air. Maybe two tins is better so you can spoon it around to cool faster. While it is cooling, strain all three pots of broth through a colander, keeping the last quart/half gallon or so AND ALL the contents of the colander (onion, garlic, pepper, meat scraps, all the good stuff!). The contents of the colander should be added back to the meat somehow, so just dump it on top of the meat. I don't know what to do with the rest of the pork broth, and it seems like a waste to just pour it in a gopher hole, but there will be a few gallons of it left, sooo, do with it what ye will, but set aside about a quart for later use with the masa tomorrow. One-quart Mason jars are good for this. Once the meat is cool enough (if not, you'll know in a minute!), mix in all but about 12oz of the red chile sauce you made earlier (the last 12 oz or so will be added to the masa later, a bit at a time). By the way, this is your only chance to adjust the heat for the more sensitive among us, so maybe add "some" of the red chile sauce, mix it up real good, and taste a fork-full. And maybe make two separate batches, one hot and one mild. Mix it up real good, shredding the meat in the process. Don't be a baby, just do it with your hands. Wear gloves if you're sensitive but its way faster and more thorough. Trust. Let it cool for a few hours, then saran wrap and put in fridge for the next day. You can put it in the fridge earlier but it will heat up the whole fridge. I have left it on the counter with tin foil on it overnight from about 10pm to about 6am and it was still warm... Considering these will be steamed once or twice, that's ok. Clean up your mess because tomorrow will be a big day and it's depressing to wake up with a dirty kitchen.

Day 2. Rolling

We use Jennifer's awesome Kitchenaid Mixer for this. She fills the bowl almost full with Masa Preparada, adds about 3 TBSP of the red Chili sauce (from yesterday) and a bit (as needed) of pork broth (also from the day before) and mixes it up. The proportions here are to-taste. I like a little red in my masa. Not a lot, I just don't like it soooo white. And the flavor it adds, along with the pork broth, is important. Also, the main purpose of this is to get it to the right consistency for spreading on the hojas, so you kinda have to get a feel for it. And it also depends on the consistency of the masa as you bought it. Sometimes it comes really greasy and you don't want to add ANY broth to it because then everything will be really greasy. 

So, set up your table for an efficient work area. This also takes some dialing in... and experience. You need a LOT of room for one tray of meat, one bowl of masa, one tray of hojas AND one empty tray for rolled tamales. Getting all that AND a cutting board for each person to roll on is a trick. Especially when you factor in the room needed for Pacifico bottles, you can see how quickly you run out of room. Also, it get's annoying real quick if each person can't really reach each tray of ingredients. But anyways, at this point, take one hoja, spread masa about 1/4" thick (no more!) on it, stay away from the bottom (pointy end) about two inches, put about one heaping tablespoon of meat in the middle, roll it up, fold the end over, tie it if you want, and jump on the next one. Oh yeah, and HURRY UP! Chuey's hungry, and his eyes are all glassy already. We got about 200 of these to do and they ain't gonna roll themselves!

Once you have about 60 of them in a tray, you can steam them in an outdoor propane burner/steamer combo pretty painlessly. I have experimented quite a bit with this... multiple layers, seperators, etc. I think it's best to just do one layer, all standing upright, not too tightly packed, and it will behoove the shit out of you to leave a spot in the middle clear enough to see through one of the holes with a flashlight. This is to monitor the water level, which should come up to the bottom of the platorm thingy with all the holes in it. I have also done one layer with a brick in the middle (clean the brick, first, man!) to support a second platform. It worked, but I had to guess the water level. If you put in too much water it's bad. I don't know what will happen, but I've been told it's bad. Maybe it will start a chain reaction that will bring about the next apocalypse.. or something. Just don't do it. Also, NEVER let the water get too low or you will cry. They will ALL taste burned and your reputation will be forever tarnished. Chuey will find somewhere else to be next year, but maybe it will be worth it?

I like to have the water boiling when I start laying them in the steamer, that way when I'm done and put the lid on I can start the timer. If the water is boiling, there is no need to have the burner on high. Turn it down to, say, medium low. As long as it is making steam, there is no reason to boil all the water away too quickly. Put the top on, and set the timer for 30 min. When it beeps, check the water level, and set the timer for another 30 min. It's a good idea to have a large saucepan full of water already boiling at the 1 hour mark, so if you have to add water, you won't mess up the schedule by adding cold water and waiting for it to boil. I have made MANY mistakes here, but the key is to have the steamer full of water up to the grate, no more. This is usually about 1.5" of water. If you get it boiling, then turn the burner down to about medium-low, THEN add the tamales, that 1.5" of water should last 1.5 hours. If you have to add more water, pour it down the side, or in the clear area in the middle, or use a funnel. DO NOT pour it all over the tamales. It makes them mushy.

A note on how to tell when they are done: I SWEAR that tamales are NEVER as good as they are the next day after getting microwaved. I suspect that the flavor doesn't travel through the masa when it is wet, only when it is like bread. But that is the exact minute that you are yanking them out of the steamer! Also, I swear that there may be NO DIFFERENCE between 1 hour and 3 hours of steaming. The problem here is that we are using a propane burner with a crude valve, outside in the wind, and there is NO WAY to make sure you are providing the same BTU's of heat from one batch to the next. Anyways, they will not look ready when you take them out after 1.5 hours. Just know that if you are providing steam and enough time, they will finish. But if you must, open one up, all the way up, on a plate. It will look wet, rubbery, and NOT DONE. Let it sit for 5 minutes, or until it dries up. It will look better. The Masa will probably be bland tasting. This is because of what I said above about the flavor not being allowed to travel in such a wet environment. Trust me, tomorrow you will nuke a few and SWEAR they taste totally different!

Anyways, put them all on a tray to cool, pop a Pacifico, then go crazy, or bag 'em up for the fridge or freezer. By this point you should be a bout 3.5 sheets to the wind, the entire kitchen will be destroyed, Uncle Chuey will be passed out on the front porch with his pants down, the neighbors will be pissed, and your wife is calling her lawyer. If you did it right, that is.

Chile Con Carne

Oh... I almost forgot about the Chile Con Carne and Rice... 

So, if you want to kick the whole thing up another couple notches and feed everyone while they are rolling tamales, do this about 2 hours before they show up. And to make sure there is enough time, you should tell everyone to show up at noon.

Dice up about 5lbs of pork. Like, really, the size of dice. Throw it all in a stew pot on high and stir it occasionally. Add about a tablespoon of salt and a maybe the same amount of black pepper. Also, get a large saucepan of water boiling on the side. Once it starts to look like you would totally pop one of those tasty morsels in your mouth, maybe 15 minutes later, add about 6 fat cloves of garlic, pressed or minced... whatever. Again, don't be scared, homie! It's wintertime and your immune system could use a boost! Stir it up and dump in the boiling water from the saucepan. Stir again, and add about a tablespoon of crushed Oregano and two tablespoons of crushed red pepper. If you're feeling scrappy, double the pepper. I think you did it wrong if you are not sweating while you are eating it. Never use too much oregano or it will start tasting like Italian food. Also, add a small can of tomato sauce, and a small can of El Pato tomato sauce, for depth. You just want the liquid to have a red tint. We're not making spaghetti sauce, man. Stir it up and leave it on medium heat. You can put a lid on it, but make sure to crack the vent open. We are trying to reduce it down a bit and it will be simmering like this for at least an hour. If you have more time, put it on low and leave it for 3 hours. It's even better like that. Put it on the back burner and forget about it.

Rice
So, it should be about 11am by this point, which is beer-thirty, somewhere. Time to make the rice.

I have been making rice for 30 years and I feel like a golfer that has lost his swing. I fail about half of the time so my wife usually does it. She's like, Asian, y'know? (update: I fixed it, see below)

So, I have an AWESOME cast iron pot with a lid that I use for this. It's a Griswold #8  , and I've had it since about 1994. I had two, but my sister stole one of them... You really should use a deep, thick-bottomed pan with a tight-fitting lid... it needs to hold heat for 40 minutes or so with no burner on. I don't know how to do this any other way, and I am open to suggestions. Anyways, put a saucepan with about five cups of water on to simmer. We will need 4 cups of water later, because we will be using 2 cups of rice. It's a 2:1 ratio, and this comes all the way down from Confucious, who learned it from Sun Tsu, who got it from his grandma. When it's time for water, it will need to be boiling already, so start with 5 cups because some will steam off in the next 15 minutes. Get your rice pan, put a little oil in it... maybe a TBSP? The trick is to have it where once you put the rice in and move it all around, the rice is shiny with oil but there is no puddles anywhere. If you put in too much, soak it up with a paper towel. Turn the heat on medium-high, grab a beer and your phone because you will be babysitting this for at least 15 minutes. When Uncle Chuey calls to ask what to bring even though he's just gonna bring beer anyways, you can't be getting distracted. So, dump in 2 cups of rice, move it around slowly with a flat wooden spatula, spread it evenly, and take a sip of beer. Just one, though, because you have to move the rice around already! Do it slowly so it doesn't get beat up. The point here is to toast the rice so that hopefully 99% of it will be a rich brown color. Not black, drunk-ass! Look at it closely: every one of those whiter ones will crunch later when you eat it, and maybe break a tooth and it will be your fault. Just keep moving it around until there are no more white ones. That means, like, every 15 seconds you should be moving it around. You might also have to add more oil if the pan starts looking dry. Right around when you think it's done, you can add about a teaspoon of salt, some pepper, and 6 cloves of garlic, and about a quarter of an onion, chopped large. Stir it all in, wait until the onions start sweating, and call your accomplice, if you have one, or else this will get messy. Turn the heat down low for this step. You have to pour out 4 cups of boiling water in there somehow. I use a Pyrex measuring cup (2cups) and do it twice. It will not be happy. It will bubble and spit and cause all-kinds of havoc, and that is why it helps to have someone with the lid in hand to quash the whole riot. Give it about a minute and remove the lid. With the same wooden spatula, get under the rice and make sure it is not sticking. I don't want to say "stir" the rice because if you do that too much it will be sticky. After everything mellows out, slowly pour the small 8oz can of Yellow El Pato tomato sauce, or any small can of tomato sauce, in there and move it around. Turn the heat back up.

So, here's the part where I usually fail. Once all the ingredients are in there, and it's bubbling, turn it down to medium. You will need to stir often, but do it slow! Really you are just "lifting" the rice off the bottom so it doesn't stick. This is why you need a flat wooden spatula, or any spatula, I guess. Just keep it from sticking, and do it about every minute at first because cast iron holds a LOT of heat and it will still be hotter than the liquid. Finally you can take a bit of a break. Use this time to clean up your mess, flojo. And look around carefully, because it is very likely that you opened a Pacifico, took a sip, got distracted, and set it down somewhere and it is getting WARM! My dad said something about simmering the rice on med-low heat until the rice starts peeking through the water. But using the old Asian rule of a two-to-one ratio of water to rice, the rice is already peeking through when you begin... so, maybe it is two water-to-one rice PLUS the tomato sauce (Update: Yes, this is the way!)? We're making rice not doing math, man. Anyhow, I end up with soggy rice sometimes... So, nowadays I let it simmer like this, on medium for about 20 minutes, checking the water level and lifting the rice off the bottom. So, back to where all the ingredients are in, it is simmering, and the rice is peeking through the water, it is time to put the heavy cast iron lid on it, wait about 5 minutes, stir again, and hopefully the lid is nice and hot by now and you can turn the heat off and LET IT SIT with the lid on. For 40 minutes! Don't peek. It needs to use the heat retained in the cast iron to slowly let the liquid absorb into the rice, and if everything is done right, the rice will explode, or open up, and the water will be gone and it will be fluffy and amazing.

What to do in 2021?

 

This morning I dropped my wonderful daughter off at the airport where she will fly to Kentucky to begin work maintaining radio systems at the famous 101^st Airborne Division. I have been talking her ear off for the last 11 days about things like the Oath she took, what it means, being a soldier, performing her duty to her unit, her country, and to all of humanity, honor, sacrifice, the Constitution, Bill of Rights, Declaration of Independence, The Federalist Papers… all the documents that outline the deal we made when we created this government. But all the way to the airport all I could do was hold her hand in silence. And now I am just sad, and empty as she is beginning the next chapter in her life.

It was once said “I was a Soldier, so that my son could be a Farmer, so that his son could be an Artist.” This thought has always inspired much deep contemplation in me. And I have always wanted to append a sentence: “So that the Artists could fuck it all up and everyone would have to become soldiers again.” The truth is, the Artists live in a fantasy world… that’s what makes them such good Artists. It’s also what makes them TERRIBLE philosophers and leaders.

Anyway, my daughters are both WONDERFUL artists. Multi-talented artists. They have brought tears of JOY with their voices and guitars. They were ready to spread their wings and give all of humanity the precious gift of their existence, and experience the precious gift of the existence of others. And then we all dropped the ball. My wonderful daughter might have to trade the innocent smile of a mischievous, happy, girl for the raging war-face of a soldier. And that is a crime for which I accuse all of humanity.

America, as it was founded, is an Idea come to fruition. The idea was that all men are created equal, and possessed of inalienable Rights, and must be treated equally under the Law, among other things. You have to read history to understand what a revolution in thought this was. We all are guilty of taking it for granted. But I am here to tell you that ONLY the Republicans and Conservative Libertarians adhere to that original idea. No longer can we say that we all want the same thing. Today’s Democrats are SOCIALISTS, and as such, they DO NOT BELIEVE in the tenets of the founding documents. They are trying to FUNDAMENTALLY CHANGE the meaning of the words, and therefore the deal itself. They think they have a better idea. Somehow better than “All men are created equal.” Better than a "Right to Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." This makes them INSURRECTIONISTS, Revolutionaries. And they use devious tactics to sow discontent and hatred. They say that WE are full of hatred, that we want only MEN to be equal, that we are guilty of slavery, assault, discrimination, and even that WE are the ones plotting revolution and war.

Their ideas are not new. Other people have thought the way they think. Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Hitler, Mussolini, Pol Pot, Castro, Ho Chi Minh, Chavez and Maduro… all socialists. All Dictators who first disarmed the people, silenced dissent, imprisoned opponents, then forced their ideas on whoever was left. Many people have tried to estimate the deaths and disappearances from starvation, torture, and murder, and it is over 100 million. All mostly in a 50 year period, from 1930 to 1980. Not including the war casualties. All killed by their OWN GOVERNMENT, because they had a better idea and wanted to try it. But hey, maybe it will work this time, finally.

There comes a time, in every fight, that words are no longer useful. At some point someone is going to lose some teeth, or worse. That point is usually when logic and reason are disregarded or perverted. We are long passed that point. It is time to either part company, or meet in the streets and have it out. In my opinion the only way to do it peacefully would be to build walls around all the big cities (look at the map of districts that voted for Biden. All the big cities!) and let Amazon and Facebook run the place. Those people are sheep, they should live in a pen. Since that is unlikely to happen, I guess we will meet in the streets. And we are ready. So are they (they think). If the cops would just stay home it would be over in a week, and we could all get back to the business of being Americans.

Which brings me to my next point. The reason the cops are not helping us is because they must answer to elected officials. Mayors, Sheriffs, etc. If they don’t obey, they can lose their pension. For TEN YEARS now, since the Occupy protests, cops have been beat up and badgered by the Left, and SUPPORTED by the Right and yet they STILL obey their commie masters and arrest and beat down Conservatives, the very people that profess DAILY support for them and the Law. This will continue until we attack their pensions, which I say should be the next step. Think about it: Their pension consists of money that hasn’t even been earned yet! That means they guaranteed themselves that our kids will work extra hard to give them money when they are old so they can live comfortable in old age. And they’ll throw us in jail if we don’t like it. It is the poisonous, cancerous puppet-string of PENSIONS that causes it. It is a way for the corrupt swamp creatures to say "do what we say and when you retire you will live like a king. Defy us and you'll get less or nothing."

I'd like to propose a new Oath of Office for all government employees, including cops, representatives, officials, even Presidents, as a favor, so you can live in peace without the knowledge that you VIOLATE your current solemn oath with every step you take on the job. Just say "I, (state your name), do solemnly swear to protect and defend my PENSION, and the unions and institutions that implement and administer it, from all enemies, foreign and domestic."

There, now you aren't full of shit anymore! And now the cops that don't stand with the very people that support and defend them can sleep at night while they protect and defend the march of SOCIALISM into every aspect of our lives. But hey, at least they'll get to buy SxS's and a boat when they retire 10 years before everyone else!

Anyone else that took the oath, THE ORIGINAL ONE, and knows that whatever pension you were promised isn't worth JACK SHIT if the socialists get their way, can continue to behave in the way they must... as GUARDIANS OF THE REPUBLIC! Also, it prevents the cowards from believing they took the same oath that some of us Americans did. I accuse them of STOLEN VALOR and treason. I have to believe that woman who got shot, Ashli Babbitt,  knew what she was getting into... she was dumb if she didn't. But that cop that shot her was not adhering to his oath. He should have stayed home.

I know, I kinda went off on cops there. But if they acted right this would be over so much sooner. And we could use their help. It should be obvious to them which side is in the right, here. And obvious to everyone. It is the side that is ADHERING to the original deal that was made at GREAT EXPENSE, and great bloodshed, by our ancestors 235 years ago when we, the people, created this government. The other side wants to change it all, because they have a better idea. One that has left a dismal record of failure only an Academic could ignore.

What's all this about DEFUNDING cops?

It is not Police that keep us safe. It is our birthright, Western Civilization, that keeps us safe. Among the tenets of Western Civilization is the Rule of Law. And Police enforce the law. If you skip all that and just want to think that Police provide safety, you are ignoring ancient wisdom that says what is provided can be taken away. Police cannot provide us with safety, and their Unions will agree that they are not REQUIRED to do so. All they can do is ENFORCE THE LAW, which we all should desire desperately, because without Law, there is NO CIVILIZATION. And that is EXACTLY what the Marxists want. They must MURDER Western Civilization in order to build their own vision. We have already seen that vision played out, and there is over 100 MILLION dead people enslaved, starved, and murdered by their own government in the last century that bear witness to that vision. It has FAILED, and it always will, because it refuses to understand Human Nature.

Freedom of Speech
Property Rights
Teach your children well
Hard work pays dividends
You reap what you sow

See where I'm going with this? This is thousands of years of trial and error, writ large. There is obviously much more, and many societies on this planet share most of these. But not all. If you think that everyone believes this stuff, you have a rude awakening coming. And in Socialist countries, ALL OF THAT is in question. For instance, in China it's "You reap what you are told to reap." The point here is that Culture, and the Society that results, is something that is grown, organically, over time, and fed by our need to get along to survive, and thrive, in peace, and health. In Socialism, that Culture is something handed down by Bureaus, and Committees, and Dictators. They will treat it like a pot-luck dinner, picking and choosing what to put on the plate according to what they think is smart at the time. But I digress.

Thinking that cops provide safety is what leads cops to think that we civilians should not question the manner in which they provide it. It allows them to think they are GIVING us something and that we are ungrateful. Quite the contrary, they have a job to do, with a clearly defined scope, and we ABSOLUTELY should question their ability and tactics during their performance of their duty.

A HUGE problem when we start to believe that they provide safety is that we start to pass laws, for THEM to enforce, that are intended to keep us safer. That was NEVER the intention when this government was created. We are supposed to provide for our OWN SAFETY. Sheep are safe, in their pen, until the butcher shows up. The Ukranians thought they were safe in 1932 until Stalin decided people in Moscow needed Ukranian grain more than the Ukranians did. Four million of them STARVED to death.

We, in our animating contest of Freedom, keep ourselves safe. The healthiest way to think about it is that cops INDIRECTLY keep Society safe, but Society is a construct of the mind. It doesn't exist, and can have no Rights of its' own. This is why 'Social Justice' is a farce. Society is an adjective used when a group of people act in concert for their own well-being and survival. The opposite is Anarchy.

It is the job of the legislators, commissioners, and councilmen to make the laws, and when they make too many, giving cops too much to do, and make BAD laws, cops are put in an unworkable situation, and trouble inevitably ensues. Two good examples: Helmet and seatbelt laws. How is it wise to give a free individual a ticket and penalty, risking arrest, for not doing what someone else thinks is smart? It only makes sense if you really don't believe that we are Free individuals. And again, it allows the cops to think they are the Shepherd and we are the sheep.

EVERY LAW THAT IS MADE carries with it the threat of lethal FORCE. Even seatbelt laws (yeah, put on your seatbelt or we will give you a ticket and if that makes you mad we will arrest you and if you resist we can shoot you. It happens). Don't sell cigarettes individually, either! Every law opens a door into your life that the government will barge through like a bull in a China shop. This is why Libertarians, and Republicans to a lesser degree, say they are for a smaller government, with fewer laws. Our Police will have less to do, be better able to do it, and accountability will be easier. And it is why we MUST reject Marxism, with prejudice, EVERY WHERE IT REARS ITS' UGLY HEAD. And the current Democrat party is absolutely INFESTED with it. 2020 may be the last chance to reject it with a pencil at the ballot box. If that fails, we will soon have to reject it with the ammo box. The American way of life will depend on it.

James Taylor in Paris? Huh???

So, I've been waiting to see what the answer would be to the massacre in Paris last week... and it seems the answer, from everyone in the freaking whole world, is to hug it out, show unity (whatever that means) and rally in support, have James Taylor sing 'You've Got a Friend,'And just HOPE IT ALL GOES AWAY! Not quite what I wanted to see. My version would have been a bit more reactionary, and pro-active. There would have been bombs (mecca and Medina come to mind), drone strikes, some door-to-door action, a lot of crying Muslims, a lot of deportations, seizing of assets, destruction of mosques, and a general cleansing of all things MUSLIM. THAT is the only thing that will allow Western-style civilization to go on thriving and building and creating health and prosperity for the whole world eventually. Anything less is cowardice and will only lead to the Islamization of the whole world in time. Anyone who doesn't believe this doesn't understand Islam.

Societal Consequences of Being 'Full of Shit"

A few days ago, an unarmed black kid was shot dead by a Missouri cop. The cops said he pushed the cop back into his cruiser and scuffled. The kids parents said he was a 'gentle giant' that just graduated from school and was going to college soon and would NEVER do what the cops said he did. They said he was just walking down the street and the cops shot him because he was black. And so, after Al Sharpton got involved and pictures of the grieving parents and angry community members were played INCESSANTLY by the media, we now have demonstrations, rioting, looting, tear gas, beat up reporters, and smoke and chaos over Ferguson, MO.

I posit to you that this can be blamed on Nixon and Clinton. Hear me out.

In 1972, during a heated presidential election, some dirty tricks were played out against the Democrat National Committee by men close to President Nixon. Nixon denied any knowledge or involvement, but later it was proved that he did know and was involved and he was then impeached and he resigned. It turns out that he was full of shit when he said, "I am not a crook!"

On January 26, 1998, President Bill Clinton spoke at a press conference and in response to questions about an alleged affair, he said, emphatically, while wagging his finger at us, with Hillary by his side:

"But I want to say one thing to the American people. I want you to listen to me. I'm going to say this again: I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky. I never told anybody to lie, not a single time; never. These allegations are false. And I need to go back to work for the American people. Thank you."

Well, it turns out that he was full of shit. So full of it that it was coming out his ears. Hillary had to hike up her skirt so she didn't step in it on her way off the stage.

Everyone lies. Some more than others. Some lie so much that they begin believing it themselves. Some peoples' WHOLE LIVES are just built on one lie after another. And being full of shit is hard work! The effort some of these people put into it is AMAZING. And there are whole strategies built around how to get what you want by being full of shit. And then, what do you do when you run across someone who is more full of shit than you? Entire books have been written on the subject. Rules For Radicals comes to mind. For instance, it seems that, when there is a question about the situation or sequence of some questionable act, the person who gets his/her story out FIRST, regardless of veracity, immediately receives credibility, and everything that is said subsequent is suspect. So, a devious bull-shitter would try to promote his/her crapulous version of events early and loud, in order to benefit from this phenomena. Crazy, eh?

I believe there are many more of us that abhor it. And we hate ourselves when we do it, and are ashamed. But we still do it. One of the defining hallmarks of Western civilization has been the effort to discourage lying and therefore the damage it causes. Judeo-Christian ethics, for instance, has at its' very core a prohibition against bearing false witness. The oath, sworn before a court of law, promising to tell the truth is the very linchpin of Justice, without which it all becomes a farce. Being untruthful and dishonest is a grave sign of disrespect, and what human relationship can survive in such a state? Society itself, being nothing more than a group of individuals adhering to the same set of standards of commerce and comradeship, quickly unravels when one cannot trust another to be, at the very least, TRUTHFUL and honest.

Half of the job of administering Justice is really just finding out who is full of shit. And when you add up all the costs... judges, court employees, cops, lawyers, prosecutors, health plans and pensions for all those, courthouses and maintenance, etc... of finding out who is full of shit, it is STAGGERING. But if we didn't, there would be no society, no fellowship, no civilization.

And what about when the very people we hire to administer Justice are the ones full of shit? This happens everywhere, every day. Police corruption is uncovered every day, more so now that everyone has a camera in their pockets, at all times. Judicial corruption is rampant too. But perhaps no form of official bullshittery is more pervasive and damaging than the current situation with lawyers and prosecutors. They have taken lying to an artform! They are not so much interested in the truth as much as what they can make people believe. Nothing is sacred to them. Even the very words we use to communicate are ripe for abuse. President Bill Clinton, a lawyer, tried to weasel out of a perjury (lying) charge by arguing that the word "is" was up for interpretation... as if we all don't know how to use the verb 'to be' or what it meant!

And so, here we have a situation in Ferguson, Missouri. The kids family and friends say he was innocent and gentle. They are probably full of shit. The cops say he assaulted the officer and it was justified. They are probably full of shit. How do we know this? Because of Trayvon Martin. Because Cops lie. Because people lie. Everyone's full of SHIT! And maybe trying to patch up our society with the duct-tape-and-bailing-wire of law-and-order and civil-rights-lip-service is just a waste of time. Maybe we just can't live together in large numbers. Maybe thinking we could melt cultures in a pot and pour out something better, stronger, and more resilient was a pipe dream. Maybe you and yours should live over there, while me and mine live over here. Maybe there SHOULD be a common creed, whether it be religion, science, witchcraft, or love of comic books that binds a society together and anyone who doesn't like it can go find someone who does? Maybe that very common creed is what makes us stronger and more resilient, and maybe that was the point of multi-culturism all along? To WEAKEN US by diluting 3000 years of Western Civilization with the madness of primitive cultures, or even cultures where corruption and outright LYING are accepted and even celebrated, because a society that is weak and fearful is a society that is ripe for enslavement.

Freedom or freedom?

Ok... so I pinned a few guys down in a discussion recently... and it really has opened my eyes about the nature of this left-right dichotomy, a gaping CHASM if you will, in this nation. In the entire WORLD really. The root of the issue is this: The revolutionary Idea that came to fruition in 1776, a paradigmatic shift really, was that each man owns himself absolutely. He is endowed, by his Creator or by Nature, whichever you prefer, with inalienable Rights. These Rights are not bestowed, or given, by others... they are his whether anyone respects them or not. They are his even if he is unaware of them. Even though he might try to sell or abdicate them, or even deny their existence, there they remain… right at the very core of every man’s soul. It is the Logical end-result of the realization of what it means to be the only sentient, rational being on this planet, and, so far, in the entire Universe! It is the very manifestation of a perfect understanding of human Nature. Rights can only be violated.

It wasn't until 1776 that finally a government was instituted among men that held as its' central tenet a respect for the Rights of the Individual (which means in-divisible). For the first time ever, Man is FREE... with no if's, and's, or but's. No asterisk, no footnote. Absolutely FREE.

One of the first things you have to learn in Law School, as well as the very study of Logic, is that a thing cannot both BE and NOT BE at the same time. Our entire legal system was founded on it, and utterly depends on it.

The seed of destruction was planted the first time someone said, "Well, you can't be free to not pay your taxes." And so... the question should have been, "Well, are we Free or not Free?" We cannot be both at the same time. In this country, in the land that our forefathers fought and died for so that we might be absolutely Free, with a capital F, we have willingly relinquished our birthright by agreeing that it should be a relative freedom, with a lower-case f. At first, we willingly sold off bits and pieces of it in exchange for things we thought we needed and that we thought government could better provide. Now we are selling if off at record pace for shit like "Obama phones" and "free" healthcare, never mind that the strings attached have become CHAINS!

I have taken a lot of criticism for my obsession with the idea of absolute, Objective Truth. But the alternative to that is called relative, Subjective truth. And it is the ONLY alternative. Once you abandon Objective Truth, you abandon logic, reason, and science. And you start getting numbskulls who wonder, "If a tree falls in the forest, and no one is around to hear it... does it really make a sound?" You also get people who deny the humanity (Rights) of others, which enables slavery, murder, and mass-murder. And selfishness... you can justify all kinds of things once you decide that nothing is real and True and everything is subject to how your mind perceives it. You revert back to survival of the fittest. The difference between humans and animals is completely dis-regarded. That is REGRESS, not progress!

This is why you can never take even one step back with these people. When asked the sum of two and two, is there any other answer but four? But they abhor the possibility that someone could be so absolute, so SMUG, so 'black-and-white' as to demand the answer of four and force it upon them.

The answer, for us, if we are to come out of this alive with our Nature and our very Humanity being held in a state of permanent RESPECT by our government, is to go back, all the way back, to 1776, and accept at face value, absolutely and without subordinating conjunction (if, unless, but, etc.) that entire second and third sentence of the document that revolutionized the world and then examine all that has happened since with intense scrutiny and vigor. We will see a change in our way of life... it will be hard on a lot of people. There is a certain comfort in slavery, and not all are willing to give that up. But we will also get to say goodbye to things like the individual income tax, corporate personhood, foreign aid, governmental subsidies (all kinds... corporate welfare, farm subsidies, and yes WELFARE!), unions, cops that treat us like sheep, and a general paring down of all governmental activity, across the board. Also, it might finally make sense to create two classes of citizens: Free Americans, and wards of the State. Wards of the State will necessarily include anyone on public assistance of ANY kind, government employees, violent criminals, and anyone who willfully wishes to participate and live under the wing of the Government. Free Americans will include anyone who doesn't wish to take part in that madness, along with lawbreakers who abused their wardship and were expelled. Don't worry; we'll take "care" of them... What will eventually end up happening is that walls will be built around the cities (look at the red state, blue state voting map by district! There are no blue STATES, only blue cities!), ostensibly to keep the unwashed, selfish capitalists out (but the sharp, pointy barbs will be aiming inward) and they can live happily ever after in their Utopia. I accept the fact that there will always be those that despise the animating contest of freedom and wish to live under the wing of the government. I don't hate them. But the idea is that there must be a place for those who don't want to participate, those that take their Freedom seriously and responsibly. After all, America BELONGS to these people. It is their PROPERTY. They created it, they won it, they gave it life, and they wish to leave it to their children.

Words to look up. I'm serious... no matter how much you think you know these words, look them up again. I do it all the time, just to make sure I am using them correctly. This is important. One of the tools used by subjectivists (Liberals) is to get you thinking that when we say the word Freedom, we mean the same thing. We don't. They have in mind the lower-case version, with if's and's and but's.

And so, having agreed on the definitions of those words, the question I'd like you all to answer is: Do you stand behind the assertion that all human beings are free absolutely, possessed of individual inalienable Rights, that our constitution was instituted to secure these rights, not bestow them, and, with that established, that each individual ought to be secure in his person and his property, free to distribute, delegate, or dispose of the product of his labor and intellect as he sees fit. Do you, or do you not, agree with that statement, as is, with no conditions, asterisks, footnotes, or subordinating conjunctions? Everything from here on out depends on this, and if you don't realize it, you are more lost than you think. Every argument has at its core a misunderstanding and the first remedy is to check your premises. THIS IS THE PREMISE! Every American takes it for granted. It goes without saying. It's in the Pledge of Allegiance. Our entire SYSTEM is built around it. And it is my contention that many of you don't really believe it or value it... that you would sell it for a little perceived security and misguided attempts to promote the general welfare.

Some of you *THINK* you believe it, but only with conditions, or you want to re-define the words it contains, FUNDAMENTALLY changing the meaning. You are adrift and have no real idea what you are, but you are socialists/progressives/liberals/egalitarians/Marxists/Fascists. Others know EXACTLY what they are doing and just want the question to go unanswered until it is too late and we are forced to drop the charade and bend over. Those people are called COMMUNISTS, Subversives, Fabians, Frankfurt Schoolers, and Fifth columnists, and as such they are dangerous to the entire Idea of America and deserve to be set adrift/gulag/HUNG. They cannot be allowed to continue to breathe, because when they get their way, you will only breathe by their permission. And also, some of you *say* you believe it, most of it, but you think you can tinker with the system, adjust a few things, talk sense to the Communists and Socialists, give them a little to get along, and everything will work itself out in the long run. Those people are called Republicans, and they have presided over 100 years of slow decline into SOCIALISM. They are ineffective and infertile. Anyone wanting to wonder why Donald Trump was elected need look no further than this paragraph. But there is hope! Trump means that more than half of the country holds allegiance to NEITHER of those three groups!

The question is, what are you?

The Wagon Analogy

Well, it looks like I lost another friend... not like R.I.P or anything, but my Facebook muck-racking has another casualty. My intention has never been to hound people and beat them into submission, but merely to prove that we all can agree. There is Truth out there, and we CAN find it. Our problems arise from our willingness to believe convenient falsehoods in order to make our lives more comfortable. In this case, it was the falsehood that has been propagated for YEARS that government employees, including teachers, firemen, police, etc, are taxpayers just like the rest of us. They are not. I don't want them to feel bad about it... the ones doing a good job should feel GOOD about it. I, and all other producers of wealth, pay them gladly and appreciate their work. But the VERY SECOND they begin to believe that they are somehow superior and a class above us mere citizens, the deal is off. We can no longer appreciate them. One way they have been led to believe that is by encouraging them to believe they are taxpayers like the rest of us. They are not, and it obscures the special relationship we SHOULD have with them: we are the employers and they are the employees. 

Let's take a County Employee, for instance. Say he makes $80k per year. Like most of us, he pays county sales and use taxes, and property taxes. But his paycheck comes from the county, too. So, why don't they just pay him less, by the sum of all the taxes he would otherwise pay? Or pay him less but give him an exemption card to show that his taxes have already been deducted from his pay? If his property taxes, sales and use taxes, etc, adds up to, say, $15k, why don't they pay him $65k and call it quits. It's the SAME THING. The end result is that he really makes $65k because the VERY SAME entity that pays him took some back. The same goes for Postal Workers, DMV workers, Military servicemen, Firemen, Congressmen, Senators, dogcatchers, social workers, Mayors, etc. And what I just described is not really feasible, but it should suffice to prove that they are not really "taxpayers" like the rest of us.

The analogy I used was only partially developed. I guess I should try to flesh it out a bit: Imagine a wagon train of pioneers trekking across the prairie. It has been a long and arduous journey, and all the horses but one have died and so most are walking and carrying their stuff. There are hunters, cooks, wheelwrights, farriers, cobblers, seamstresses, doctors, blacksmiths, map readers, children, soldiers, carpenters, etc. But only one wagon and one horse. At first, say, just the children are in the wagon along with the supplies/food. After a while, the doctor says, "Y'know, if I get any more blisters I will be unable to treat anyone else's blisters and we'll have to stop and the Indians will come and we'll all die." And so the doctor gets in the wagon. A little while later, the cook says, "Y'know, If I get in the wagon I could be preparing meals while we travel and we wouldn't have to stop for so long and everything would be more efficient." And so the cook gets in the wagon. A while later, the map reader says, "Y'know, without me, you all would be lost. My freaking feet hurt. I'm getting in the wagon!" And everyone else grudgingly allows it. Then, the carpenter says, "Well, without me, what are you gonna do if the wagon breaks?" And he promptly climbs in the wagon. Suddenly, they notice that the horse is breathing hard and struggling. A few of the guys still walking decide to help the horse and start pushing the wagon. After a while, the farrier says, "Man... my wrist hurts from all this pushing. If I injure my wrist, I won't be able to fix the horseshoes." And so it is decided that the farrier doesn't have to push. The hunters come to the same conclusion. Soon, the blacksmith pipes up with, "Y'know, since there are plenty of people pushing, I need to put my hammer and bellows in the wagon so I don't get too tired from carrying them." At some point, the seamstresses say, "Y'know, since we are going downhill, can we get in the wagon? We aren't really made for all this pushing anyway." And on it goes.

Okay... at some point, more than half of the pioneers end up in the wagon... or at least not pushing. Soon thereafter, a brilliant idea forms among the party. It began with the map reader who suggested that if the pushers pushed harder, they might reach a certain lake before nightfall and everyone would have fresh fish to eat and clean water. This sounded good to the pushers, but they were pretty tired already and unsure of themselves. One of them said, "Hey! We have to do all this extra work to get fresh fish and water... but you don't have to do anything extra?" So the map reader says, "Well, ok... let's VOTE on it!" And of course, since more than half of the people were in the wagon, the pushers had to push harder. A few days later, one of the cobblers sons said, "Hey everybody! Look at that guy! He's not really pushing, he's just kinda walking beside the wagon!" And so, a new idea was floated. "Why don't we have the children stationed around the outside of the wagon to keep an eye on the pushers so that doesn't happen again?"

As you can imagine... after a few weeks of this, the pushers ought to be getting a bit perturbed. "Look, I don't mind pushing the children, the cook, the doctor, and the map reader. It has to be done. I understand that. I do it gladly. But having the farriers sons whipping us to make us push harder, and the fact that the horse died a long time ago and we don't even NEED a Farrier anymore, and that ominous mountain range up ahead has us a little concerned!" At that, the carpenters nephew says, "Need we remind you that we voted last week that you guys can just SHUT UP AND PUSH!"

And so, the relevant question should be, are the people in the wagon helping the wagon get anywhere? Maybe a better question is, does the wagon get from point A to point B by the direct effort of the pushers, or by the effort of the riders? And the answer MUST BE that the riders are only indirectly, and secondarily, helping. They DO HELP, but only indirectly. The wagon would still get there without them.

  The ugly truth we all need to confront is that this country is at a tipping point. And since all I am qualified to do is shut up and push, it is up to you people in the wagon to kick out everyone that doesn't need to be in there, and tighten up your game, and at the very least, get out and walk! Or else, the pushers might decide that they don't need you and just walk away, like Ayn Rand wrote about. This problem was not caused by the pushers. It was caused by too many people in the wagon with blinders on, allowing them to think they were somehow pulling their own weight. That is the truth. And if I have to lose friends over it, so be it.
